Dalang Shao is a professor and vice Dean of the College of Arts, Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, standing committee member of China Higher Education Council (photography division), member of China Photographers Association Higher Education committee, vice Chairman of Zhejiang Photographers Association Advanced Photography Education Committee.

       More than 400 of Mr. Shao's artistic works have been exhibited in various international photographic exhibitions held in the United States, Canada, England, Italy, Austria, Australia, Portugal, Argentina, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Mr. Shao has won Photographic Society of America (PSA) Gold Medal, FHKMPA Gold Medal and FIAP Honor Mention many times. And his photographic art works have been published in many internationally recognized publications such as ZOOM International, Practical Photography, Popular Photography and CameraArts.

       In 1994 and 1996, Mr. Shao made the PSA top 25 list with the rankings of 18th and 12th respectively in the category of Black & White Photography.
